Role Models matter – Kids copy
One of our main goals at Bay Area Martial Arts is to create a positive and supportive environment for kids.
We all know the impact an environment can have on a person, especially a child.
As adults, it is easy to pick up the habits, attitudes, and behavior of the people around us.
For kids, it’s even easier.
Kids copy the behaviors they see. This is one of the most basic ways that they learn to interact with the world.
If a child is in an environment with negative words, habits, and behaviors, it is only a matter of time before they pick them up.
Parents, teachers, and coaches all know how important a positive environment can be.
As kids get older, they are exposed to more negative situations, often with peers, without the guidance of their role models.
It is our job as parents and role models to prepare kids for these situations.
With the help of supportive mentors, kids can stay positive, even when surrounded by negative influences.
To all the parents, teachers, coaches, and mentors, thank you! You play an essential role in a child’s life!
It only takes one person to support and encourage a child, to make a lasting impact on their life!
